The Mechanical Calculators Benefits
Thanks to the Blaise Pascal and his invention of the Mechanical calculator we can now do any type of math more quick and efficient. Imagine what life would be like without calculators? Different right. Math is everywhere and in math calculators are the most important and helpful piece of technology. Accounts, Banking, Business and many other jobs wouldn't be successful or even possible without the use of a calculator. Future mathematicians were luckily able to use Pascal's mechanical calculator as a guide to building more high quality and advanced calculators.
Pascal's Triangle and written pieces lead to better learning
Pascal's triangle has helped society better understand number patterns, probability, and odds. Pascal's triangle is used in many classrooms today to help teach young children about number patterns. This is because Pascal's triangle has so many patterns within it that are interesting and fun to find. Without Pascal's triangle we wouldn't have a good grasp on number patterns which is a major branch in the education of a young mathematician. Also Pascal's many written pieces such as the De l’Espirit geometrique and De l’Art de persuader have helped us better understand the philosophy of math. Without these written pieces we wouldn't be able to distinguish a theory from a principle and there is a big difference. Even in life you need to know what is a principle which is something expected and what is a theory which is a truth backed up by more truths. Blaise Pascal helped us better understand all of this and more. He gave us knowledge that is beyond or understanding and this knowledge has majorly helped in the understanding of many branches of mathematics.
Perspective
Perspective : The art of drawing solid objects on a two-dimensional surface so as to give the right impression of their height, width, and depth
Blaise Pascal was a major help in the understanding of perspective because of his essay on the Mystic Hexagram. The Mystic Hexagram at the time was part of an undeveloped branch of mathematics. Pascal's theory is very well supported and states that if hexagon is enclosed in another polygon and into a conic then the points of intersections of opposite sides lay on a straight line. This line is today called the Pascal line and it has helped majorly in the understanding of perspective math.Without the understanding of Perspective math we would be able to draw two or three dimensional figures. This means that constructing buildings would be very hard. How can you build a building without a blueprint of it? The Mystic Hexagram helps us construct buildings today and without buildings our society wouldn't be the same.
